Various bad photos of my work area. I tried to lay the space out in two parts. Space one is the dimensioning area. This area includes a General 650 table saw, Delta X5 14" bandsaw w/ riser, Delta DJ-20 jointer, Dewalt 733 planer, Performax 22/44 drum sander, and a 10" sliding compound miter saw. Sometimes, this area is my large assembly area, as well as a spraying area when cloth barriers are hung from the ceiling. Stock and sheet goods are stored in this area and can quickly be cut down. Space two is the shaping / handwork / assembly area. Here is my drill press, 12" disc sander, router table, router jigs, and compressed air, as well as all of my hand tools and sharpening equipment. Under the bench are my cordless tools, biscuit joiner, and doweling jigs. I've installed lots of light into this area. This area also includes clotheslines to hang blankets for an impromptu spray booth. Not shown is my mini-bench that quickly clamps to my main bench to bring fine work closer to my eye level. All areas include horse trailer mats on the floors to help my knees and back, ceiling mounted A/C outlets and ceiling hooks to string power cables and air hoses. Various file cabinets and tuff-bins store supplies, jigs, finishing supplies, and lesser used tools. The lathe is tucked under the stairs. Thanks for visiting and please exit via the gift shop on the right.
